www.arizonastrongholdvineyards.com
Arizona Stronghold Vineyards was formed by Eric Glomski (Owner/Director of Winemaking
at Page Springs Cellars and previously Winemaker at David Bruce Winery) and Maynard
Keenan (Owner of Caduceus Cellars and singer for some po-dunk band called Tool), to put
Arizona on the fine wine map. While small bastions of artistry have made a few waves with
wine aficionados, Arizona still remains a vinous backwater in the minds of the wine world.
The potential to make great wine has always existed in the Southwest, yet the talent and
willingness to invest here had yet to fully blossom until recently.

ASV lies at the eastern edge of Sulfur Springs Valley in a small, unincorporated area known
as the Kansas Settlement. The vineyard site is 80 acres with 60 acres currently under vine.
The soils are relatively deep loams and clay-loams interspersed with cobbles. The vineyard
sits at 4300 feet and experiences up to 50 degree fluctuations in diurnal temperatures
during the growing season. Harvest usually starts in late August and runs into early
October.

the band Tool. The Caduceus line features wines from both Arizona grown grapes and also

Dos Cabezas WineWorks has been producing wines in Arizona since 1995 and is one of the
first vinifera grape growers in Arizona. The winery was originally located on the 80 acre Dos
Cabezas Vineyard near Willcox, AZ at roughly 4200 feet above sea level. It was a visionary
start up for the time; because since then the area has become a hotbed of winery
development. The winery has since moved to Sonoita, Arizona, where winemaker Todd
Bostock has planted a new estate vineyard with his wife Kelly. Dos Cabezas specializes in
Italian and Rhone grape varietals.

Idaho is a state known for spectacular mountains, rivers and lakes. However, many are
unaware that this beautiful area is also a great wine growing region. The unique combination
of geography, climate and soils found in Idaho's vineyards can produce grapes with
outstanding varietal character. High vineyard elevations, extra long hours of daylight during
grape ripening, cool nights, volcanic ash soils, and ungrafted vines all contribute to
producing grapes with concentrated flavors and naturally high acidity.

Sawtooth Winery produces several Vinifera wine varietals, including 100% barrel fermented
Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Viognier and Roussanne-wines
that are continually recognized for their high quality and exceptional taste. Brad Pintler
carefully guides each variety of fruit to bring out the intricate characteristics of the wines.
Most of the wines are fermented and aged in small French oak barriques until it is time for
blending. Sawtooth Winery believes there is no compromising the winemaking process and
will take every measure to ensure every bottle is of the highest quality.

Larry Mawby has produced estate grown and bottled Leelanau Peninsula wines since his first
crush in the fall of 1978. Today, L. Mawby Vineyards focuses entirely on Methode
Champenoise and Cuve Close method sparkling wines. Current annual production is less
than 8000 cases. This modest volume allows for small lots made with minimal handling.

All L. Mawby sparkling wines are created using Methode Champenoise and are aged in the
bottle before disgorging, with many bottlings having three or more years aging en tirage.
M. Lawrence sparkling wines are produced in the Cuve Close method and are given less
aging than the L. Mawby Methode Champenoise sparkling wines.

Philippe Girardet was born and raised in Switzerland near the headwaters of the Rhone, a
French-speaking region where winemaking is a centuries old tradition. Philippe worked on
his uncle's vineyard in Switzerland where he discovered his passion for wine. It was a
vacation to Oregon in the 1960's that lead Philippe to discover the lush Umpqua Valley and
the future home of Girardet Wine Cellars. The winery has since established a reputation for
its collection of wines, producing award-winning Baco Noir, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Riesling, and others. Second generation Winemaker, Marc Girardet, was schooled by his
father Philippe in learning the art of wine making and continues the family tradition.
